NC Poem
I’m posting this at my mother’s request. She even brought it over for me so I didn’t have to look online for it.
Here’s to the land
Of the long leaf pine,
The summer land where
The sun doth shine,
Where the weak grow strong
And the strong grow great,
Here’s to “down home”
The Old North State!
Thanks–8th grade history was about NC. I can still see the front of the book in my mind’s eye. As a part of learning about NC, we had to memorize this little poem.
