New Carolina Bloggers

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

I visited a new North Carolina blog tonight. Err, a blog written by natives, I mean. It’s not about North Carolina. Stop. Back up and let me start over.

I visited a blog tonight about valentines day gifts, and it’s written by two North Carolinians who go by Hot Chick and Clueless Guy. Now, you may think it’s a little early to talk about Val’s Day, but in truth, it’s never the wrong time for a gift, and some of the suggestions here are right on the money. Check them out now, and bookmark them for later!

PS: I’ll take the cruise if you are feeling generous and the massage chair if you are feeling the pinch.

That’s What She Said

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

I found another NC blogger, ya’ll. Or perhaps she found me. Whatever, it’s nice to connect with other area bloggers. I don’t know if we are shy, or I am unpopular, but I sure thought the title of this site would bring more North Carolinians out of the internet woodwork.

Anyhow, Kelly blogs at That’s what she said, and it was through her blog that I found the North Carolina webring. Thanks, Kelly!

Ogre on the NC CLC

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Ogre, of Ogre’s Politics and Views, attended the North Carolina Conservative Leadership Conference, and he’s live blogged the event, as well as posting several recap posts. Head on over and see what he has to say. My personal favorite was post detailing the large and well-organized impeach Bush protest.

Some North Carolina Bloggers for ya!

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

I’ve had a few responses to my call for North Carolina bloggers, and I am ready to share them with you. I would like to make this a regular feature (perhaps even a carnival?) so if you are a NC blogger and missed letting me know this time, be sure and leave a comment.

First up is Grandi13. This happens to be my mama, ya’ll! She’s a pretty new blogger, but she’s catching on real quick. She talks about cooking, too!

Next is the delightful Ron. He’s a comedic genius. He blogs at What’s All This Then. He also blogs at a couple of other places. He’s a pretty busy guy, so he forgot to respond to my request for his other blogs. Catch me on the next go round, Ron, and I’ll hook you up!

Last up is Moose. He blogs about hunting, fishing and wildlife over at Moose Droppings. He has pictures, ya’ll. Lots of wonderful pictures.

I’d love it if the three of you could let your readers know I talked about you. Perhaps they’ll even wish to be in the next post like this.

The laugh is on me

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

I want to share this for the benefit of my readers who were jealous when they read my last post. Today it is [tag]cold[/tag] and raining. Blech! But! I noticed this moring that there are signs of life on the backyard trees. I’d show you a picture, except I’m not taking my camera out in the [tag]rain[/tag]. Not even for ya’ll.

I’ve had two [tag]bloggers[/tag] to comment on the post asking for NC bloggers. Surely there are more of you. I’m planning to get that blogroll up early next week, so you still have time. I can add to it later, I know. But if you want to be in the post about NC bloggers, and not just in the sidebar, you’ll need to let me know you are out there by next Tuesday.

It’s time to build a blogroll

Saturday, March 24th, 2007

Don’t you think so? You can see that I snuck a few blogs into the sidebar not too long. These are folks who blog about the area in which they live. And that’s all well and good, but today, I am putting out a different call. If you are a blogger living in North Carolina, I’d like to list you here. I’d like to be listed on your site as well. Please leave me a comment if that’s you.
